Exceptional Handling. Ultra Lightweight. King of the Mountain.

As light as 1200g, the Peak 4550 Evolution II excels on all terrains.

Built to improve on the already exceptional aerodynamics, strength, and stiffness of its predecessor — the Peak Evolution II is light and explosive on the climbs, composed and precise on the descents, while still fast and stable in the valleys.

Borrowing from the improvements in the Wake 6560 Evolution II, the Peak 4550 Evolution II again raises the bar.

Internal rim width has been increased to 22mm internal and 32mm external while reducing the rim weight to 390g. All rims are pre-balanced to match the included tubeless valves.

The Peak 4550 Evolution II continues with a hooked, hole-less, tubeless ready tire bed, which can accommodate clincher/tubed tires or tubeless tires with no tape needed and no tire pressure restrictions. Competing hookless rims, while less expensive to manufacture and lighter weight, have proven problematic and potentially dangerous, especially in relation to tire choices and tire pressure limits. Princeton CarbonWorks still firmly believes in a hooked rim providing the safest and fastest solution for road riding and racing. The Peak 4550 Evolution II passes 120J in impact testing and weighs 1200g in it’s lightest configuration.

All builds come with Alpina Hyperlite spokes with a selection of White Industries, DT Swiss, Chris King, and Tactic Racing hubs available.

The Peak 4550 Evolution II is available in 10 different paint options and six different hub options so that every rider can spec their perfect wheelset. In addition to the six standard colors — Matte Black, Gloss Black, Matte White, Gloss White, Gloss Gold, and Gloss Chrome — the Evolution II family, will introduce four new colorways: Gloss Sand, Gloss Cobalt, Gloss Red, and Gloss Chameleon. All wheelsets include tubeless valves and padded wheel bags.
